TEL P-12XL
Product Detail
The TEL P-12XL, launched by Tokyo Electron (TEL) in 2000, is a 300mm fully automated wafer prober station. An upgrade from the P-8XL platform, it is specifically designed for wafer-level testing at next-generation technology nodes. Its core advantages lie in high precision and high throughput: driven by an X-Y linear motor, positioning accuracy reaches ±5μm, and some sources indicate that even higher precision can be achieved with closed-loop control. The equipment supports mixed-line processing of 200mm and 300mm wafers and is equipped with a FOUP loader, touchscreen interface, and on-axis alignment system. The chuck temperature range is selectable from -60℃ to +200℃, adapting to various testing environments. Subsequent enhanced versions added semi-automatic probe card change (SACC) and wide-area probe grinding functions to handle large test heads and multi-chip measurement needs. The P-12XL is actively traded in the second-hand market and is a mature and reliable mass production testing platform for 300mm production lines.
