TEL P-12XLn

The TEL P-12XLn is Tokyo Electron's (TEL) next-generation fully automated probe station developed for 300mm wafer testing. It is the benchmark model in the P-12XL series (including P-12XL, P-12XLn, P-12XLn+, and P-12XLm). Its core focus is on maintaining the series' signature on-axis alignment capability while adapting to smaller pad sizes, ensuring high-precision testing in both high and low temperature environments.

Technically, the P-12XLn employs a high-rigidity, anti-deflection platform, capable of supporting probe cards with higher pin counts with minimal mechanical deformation. For thermal management, it features a hot and cold temperature control and cooling system, with optional high-temperature configurations for the chuck (e.g., from room temperature to 150°C). This model supports 300mm, 200mm, and 150mm (optional) wafer sizes and features an automated system, CIM/FA (including AMHS) interface capabilities, and software compatibility with the P-8 series probe stations. As a mature platform launched in the mid-2000s, the P-12XLn is still available on the second-hand market and is a mass production testing option that balances accuracy and practicality in 300mm production lines.
